Internal Tool MVP Development

An internal tool MVP replaces one painful workflow, such as tracking projects in scattered spreadsheets, with a simple tool your team actually uses. Start with the workflow that costs the most time. Integra Robotics first asked us for a landing page; over two years we built 5+ internal tools for them, including a POD management dashboard and a financial intelligence platform, plus an automated lead-sourcing system.

Where to start

Which workflow to start with

Pick the workflow where your team loses the most time or where information is most scattered. For Integra, project tracking, financial performance, and deployment workflows were spread across disconnected tools, so a single dashboard came first.

Integration

Connecting to your existing systems

An internal tool is useful when it pulls in the data your team already has. We agree on Day 1 which systems the MVP reads from or writes to, and get access before the build starts.

Over time

How an internal tool grows

Start with one tool, roles for the people who use it, and the reports they need. Integra's work grew from a landing page to dashboards, a financial platform, and an AI outreach engine, each added once the previous one was in use.

Scope

What an internal tool MVP includes

One workflow, the people who use it, and the data it needs.

✓One core workflow or dashboard
✓User roles, such as admin and team member
✓Connections to the systems the workflow depends on
✓Sign-in limited to your team
✓Basic error monitoring and 30 days of launch fixes
✓Code and IP handed over after development

Process

The 2-week internal tool process

Access to your existing systems should be ready before Day 4.

  1. 01

    Day 1

    Agree the scope

Your one to three decision makers sit with our product manager or lead developer. We decide which part of the product will test your idea and write down what waits for later.

  2. 02

    Days 2–3

    Design the journey

We study your top two or three competitors, agree the pages and screens, finalise the user journey, and use AI to create a demo from your brand guidelines.

  3. 03

    Days 4–9

    Build the working MVP

Our developer builds the core features, sign-in, database, and the other parts the product needs, using AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Codex.

  4. 04

    Day 10

    Deploy

We put the product on a server so people can use it online. A simple MVP does not need a CDN, queues, or microservices.

  5. 05

    Days 11–14

    Test, fix, and launch

AI writes the unit tests; people test the full user journey and we watch the backend. One or two rounds of changes, then launch and handover.

Real project

Integra Robotics: from one landing page to 5+ internal tools

Integra Robotics (formerly Social Hardware) came to us for a marketing website. Their project tracking, financial performance, and deployment workflows were spread across disconnected tools, and their sales team prospected leads by hand.

Over a two-year partnership we built a POD management dashboard, a financial intelligence platform, and other operational tools, alongside an automated lead-sourcing and outreach engine.

"Meeting tight deadlines and handling last-minute changes so smoothly showed real dedication." — Cameron Norris, Co-founder and CMO, Integra Robotics
